My Room

My room is very messy. The color of my room is Blue. There are two beds in my room. One is my brothers, and one is mine. There is also two wooden drawers that hold me and my brothers clothes. Then there is a white little drawer that carries books and other stuff. There are are two posters hung up by my bed. Then in the closet there are hunger clothes and another drawer that holds my socks and other clothes.

Coping with Stress

How do I cope with stress? I really don't know. I have no idea how I cope with stress. I just take deep breaths and focus on whatever I need to. Sometimes I get a paper and pen and write everything that is on my mind. And when I am done with that, I cross everything that doesn't matter at the time only leaving me with the few things that do matter.

Some smells are good and some are bad. Some stink, some smell good. But 5 of my favorite smells are

Simplicity:

I took this picture as "Simplicity" because the picture is just focused on the book that the girl is reading.

Repetition:

I took this picture as "Repetition" because the grey blocks are repeating.

Balance:

I took this picture as "Balanced" because I all the kids in the room make it balanced, because there are so many of them.

Contrast:

I took this picture as "Contrast" because the sky is dark on one side and the other is light.

I took this picture as "Leading Lines" because there are a bunch of lines in the picture.

I took this picture as "Rule of Thirds" because if you divide the picture in three, it will be balanced.

I took this picture as "Unique Perspective" because it is live I am trying to do the sight test.

My Ideal Halloween

Well for halloween I would put up a bunch of decorations. I would put up fake spiderwebs and spiders outside of the house. And inside I would get toy spiders and bats, and hang them on the ceiling with string and tape. Next I would get toy insects and tape them up on the walls. The next thing I would do is fill water in gloves and freeze it. Then the day of Halloween I would get the ice out of the gloves and put it in the cool-aid. And i would put a little more decorations and invite my friends and family to my house so we could hang and have fun.

Mural Project Preview

1. A theme I could use to make a mural here at school is "Learning is Important" and take pictures of teachers giving lectures and kids working. Another one I can use is "School Spirit" and take pictures of teenagers wearing Akins HS shirts, and if we have another pep rally we can take a picture of all the stuff that happens.

2. This second theme is worth developing time and effort to capture because I can feel it will be worth it. And if something goes wrong then oh well. We can always try again. Another reason I think it is worth it is because people will be inspired to work better and be more focused.

3. The advantages to using a phone camera is that it will always be with you, and because if you delete it on your computer, then you will still have it on your phone. The disadvantages is that the picture might me blurry, and unfocused.

4. the advantages of using a SLR camera for this project is that the pictures will be clear and focused. The disadvantages are that there is not enough cameras for the class. And because you are limited to how many picture you can take.

1. I really liked the photos that Nick Brandt took. I liked how each photo had a main attention. And how every picture has a purpose.

My Dream Vehicle

My dream vehicle would be a white car that can fly and swim under water. I would go and fly to far places and visit Europe. I would also visit Australia so I can see the Kangaroos. I would like it to fly because I won't have to deal with traffic. I would want it to be able to swim underwater so I can go in the ocean and see the sea creatures.

On Instagram I follow 147 people. Most of them consist of my friends and family. I also follow some of my favorite youtubers. On Twitter I follow 200 people. Most of the people I follow are my friends and family. Some of them are total strangers. And the others are youtubers. On Youtube I follow bloggers, and gaming people. But the real question is... Rules of Photography 1

• Lines are marks made by a pointed tool: brush, pencil, pen, etc. Lines can vary in width, direction, curvature, length, or color.

• Shapes are formed wherever the ends of a continuous line meet. Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles or squares have perfect, uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals. 

• Color wheels show the primary colors, secondary colors, and the tertiary (intermediate) colors. They also show the relationships between complementary colors across from each other, such as blue and orange; and analogous (similar or related) colors next to each other such as yellow, green, and blue. Black and white may be thought of as colors but, in fact, they are not. White light is the presence of all color; black is the absence of reflected light and therefore the absence of color.

• Value, or tone, refers to dark and light; the value scale refers to black and white with all gradations of gray in between.  Value contrasts help us to see and understand a two-dimensional work of art.

• Form describes objects that are three-dimensional, having length, width, and height.

• Texture can be rough, bumpy, slick, scratchy, smooth, silky, soft, prickly--the list is endless.  Texture refers to the surface quality, both simulated and actual, of artwork.

• Space refers to distances or areas around, between, or within components of a piece. Space can be positive (white or light) or  negative (black or dark), open or closed,shallow or deep, and two-dimensional or three-dimensional. 

• Balance is the comfortable or pleasing arrangement of things in art.  There are three different types of balance: symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radial. The human figure is symmetrically balanced; the same on the left and right side. The tree is asymmetrically balanced; its branches are not distributed equally on each side, but their total weight is balanced left and right. The sun is an example of radial balance; all its rays are equal in length from the center.

• Contrast is created by using elements that conflict with one another. Often, contrast is created using complementary colors or extremely light and dark values. Contrast creates interest in a piece and often draws the eye to certain areas. It is used to make a painting look interesting.

• Emphasis in the focal area of an artwork gives it importance.  An artist may stress some elements of the design over others. The eye of the viewer will focus on the area of emphasis or center of interest first, then take in the rest of the composition. 

• Movement in an artwork means the artist is taking viewers on a trip through the work by means of lines, edges, shapes, and colors often leading to the focal area.  Movement is a visual flow through the composition. It can be the suggestion of motion in a design as you move from object to object by way of placement and position.  Directional movement can be created with a value pattern. It is with the placement of dark and light areas that you can move your attention through the format.

• Patterns are made in art when the same shapes or elements are repeated again and again.  Pattern uses the elements of art in planned or random repetitions to enhance surfaces of paintings or sculptures.

• Rhythm is the repetition of shapes, lines, and forms.  Rhythm is a movement in which some elements recurs regularly.  Like a dance, it will have a flow of objects that will seem to be like the beat of music.

• Unity means that all elements in an artwork are in harmony.  Unity brings together a composition with similar units.  For example, if your composition was using wavy lines and organic shapes you would stay with those types of lines and not put in even one geometric shape.

What I Want to Do

What I really want to do this six weeks is take pictures and learn how to edit them. I really want to go out and take pictures then after I want to learn how to edit them to look better. I would also like to look at more pictures from great photographers and try to take good pictures like them.

I choose this picture as "Best Story" because it looks like the girl is reading a good story. And because everyone can relate to reading.

I choose this picture as "Action and Emotion" because there is a huge explosion as action, and because the girl's emotions and reactions are very noticeable of how they are feeling.

I choose this picture as "Filling and Frame" because I am interested in what the two people are doing.





















Community Service:
I choose this picture because I like how everyone is praying and how everyone is so respectful. I think this picture has Rule of Thirds, Balance, and Repetition.

1. I think I could take good pictures in the classrooms where everybody is working, and also in the hallway so i could take pictures of people acting like themselves.

2. I would like to visit a Biology or any science classroom so I could take live action pictures.

3. I will be aware of my surrounding to take a great photo.

Elements of Composition

Repetition:

I took this picture as Repetition because the rocks are repeating. And because you can see that the trees are repeating in the background.

Leading Lines:

I took this picture as Leading Lines because the green poles form lines, and also because the metal form lines that are even and strait.

Balance:

I took this picture as Balance because the lockers are balanced. And also because everything lines up. And if you divide up the photo in half, it will be symmetrical.

Simplicity:

I took this picture as Simplicity because the picture is focused on the tree. And because that even though the picture has other stuff in it, it is only focused on the tree.

Rule of Thirds:

I took this picture as Rule of Thirds because if you divide the photo into nine blocks it will be even. And also because the paper is symmetrical.

Contrast:

I took this picture as Contrast because in the picture on side is dark, and the other side is light. Also because of the balance of the clouds that make it contrasting.

 Unique Perspective(Angle):

I took this picture as Unique Perspective or Angle because I think this is a weird angle of looking at a tree. And how you can see both the trunk and leaves without pointing strait at the tree.
